Default Photovoltaic Powerstations

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photovo...power_stations

Seeing that power/energy will be a desicive factor in who will win a post-apocalyptic scenario here is a list from good ol' wiki....

If anyone has american/canadian locations for photovoltaic production facilities please post it.

According to an excel file I have with 6500 power plants active in 2001 only 4 Photo voltaic systems were active and their output was tiny in comparison to the entire grid. There was total output of 437 kWT per hour.

There are two grouped in AZ and two grouped in CA
Agua Fria Maricopa AZ 85072 64KWT
Solar Sacramento CA 95638 373KWT

THe largest solar plant in the US in 2001 was not Photovoltaic it involved solar reflection to hear liquids to spin turbines.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_E...rating_Systems

SEGS I San Bernardino CA 92327
SEGS II San Bernardino CA 92327
SEGS III San Bernardino CA 93516
SEGS IV San Bernardino CA 93516
SEGS V San Bernardino CA 93516
SEGS VI San Bernardino CA 93516
SEGS VII San Bernardino CA 93516
SEGS VIII San Bernardino CA 92347
SEGS IX San Bernardino CA 92347

Total output in 2001 was 70,815 kWT per hour.

Not the generation numbers do not reflect maximum capacity as for obvious reasons solar plants cannot operate 24 hours a day.

Talking

i'D LIKE TO SEE THAT EXCELL FILE

What I seem to have a hard time finding is basically factories in the US or any other place for that matter...

you know where they make everything...hehe ...It can't all be made in China

....how would a T2K scenario in China be btw ?

(oh...another factory)

Large scale factories would be tracked by the EPA, I'll check those databases when I have a little time.

I will PM you the link for the excel file. It is 2.2 meg and I don't want a public link as then Google will keep downloading it over time wasting bandwidth. If anyone else wants the link PM me.

Cool

I just spent a hour or so discussing ways to reduce costs on a hydraulic power pack for photo voltaics somebody wants to do a 100000 of them in the near future if we get the order I'll pass along where they will be mounted.
Thats a lot of solar electric
