Default [Plot Hook] Good old Fashion dungeon crawls

So has anyone honestly thought of how to do an old fashion dungeon crawl in Tw2k. I mean all through out Europe there were a bunch of bunkers for government, military, and probably others during the Cold War.

See for example:

or

or

There was some similar structures in the 50s and 60s in the USA.

or

or

I bring this up because, although I know some of these places were obviously targets during the nuke exchanges or were overrun during the back and forth in Europe. Yet, I am sure some of these were abandoned by the survivors with what they could carry or could load in a few trucks. So there might a chance for a good ol'fashioned dungeon crawl into some of these bunkers as the players go around.

Thinking about that would some of these areas be good home base of operations? Marauder lairs? A plot point to find a MacGuffin or a person named MacGuffin?

Some things to maybe find in there
  1. Arms
  2. Weapons
  3. Food
  4. Medicine
  5. Maps with usable intelligence (like nuke strikes or caches)
  6. Fuel
  7. Vehicles
  8. Uniforms

After 4-5 years of combat would mean that some of these might still be full of stuff with working equipment, not totally destroyed systems installed. So working lights, fresh water, etc.

And those sort of places might very well have been found by wild animals or wild humans (not just brigands, but those who have been mentally disturbed by the war) who have settled into the place as a den/lair.
Certainly insects, small critters like bats and mice could be in residence to provide some sudden scares or "What was that?" moments.

I've done three "dungeon crawls." Two in Twilight2000 and one in my current Merc campaign.

The first was a hide-and-seek firefight in a bunker complex in Warsaw. It was comprised of both trenches and tunnels connecting improvized bunkers together. The firefights were "meeting engagements" at close range. This was a VERY bloody fight. Grenades are REAL KILLERS in confined environments.

The second involved the PCs searching the interior of a small hospital (4 stories + basement) for supplies while a band of marauders stalked them [unknown to the PCs]. The PCs had the advantage of two pair of NVGs and once contact was made, those proved so decisive, I had to add a couple of more bad guys to even make it a challenge, despite the advantage of surprise.

The most recent crawl involved the PCs searching through a Freighter for some stolen ivory WHILE the pirates/smugglers were loading and prepping the ship. Recently acquired suppressors and the team's superior HTH skills made this a bloody but challenging mission.

Yes, modern dungeon crawls are cool. Some other "blueprints" I have to use yet?
A power plant, a small oil refinery, and a sewer/water treatment plant (set up as a Krakow-sponsored mission for parts that didn't get played)
