Default T2k Campaign WANT ADS

If you build it, they will come. There are lots of online T2k games going on out there on the interwebs (PbP, PBEM, live chat games, etc.), but they're not always easy to find. Hopefully, we can help.

Are you a player seeking a Ref? If so, this is a place to let them know. If they're looking for players and have an opening, they can PM you an invitation to join.

Are you a Ref seeking players? If so, advertise your campaign here and get ready for the RTJ's to come rolling in.

Heck, maybe you're looking to Ref or play in an in-person game of T2k. It's a small word- you just might find someone here that happens to reside in your neck of the woods IRL to game with FtF.

First, I’m looking for a game taking players. If I get no nibbles, guess I might be willing to referee one.

It's possible, but the forum really isn't optimized for that sort of thing. I used to Ref campaigns on RPOL (rpol.net). It's free to join. I highly recommend it for PbP. If you do a search on the site, there are couple of active T2k games. If you PM the campaign Refs, they might have an opening.

Another possibility is simply run your game on Discord but first source players elsewhere. Discord has several dicebots (Diceparser is a good one) and you can create multiple channels to keep things sorted.

RPOL however has a more mature characters handling system and it's easier to hide threads from various players if you want to break up the group which can be quite fun (some of my group almost used a grenade launcher on the rest of the team once!). It can be done in Discord but it's fiddly.
Finally RPOL allows for more text options, something I as a GM consider important.

If you've never run a text game before I have a list of standard rules, expected behaviour and text conventions I can give you.

Thank you, I would like to see your list.

Default Looking for an additional player for my campaign

Hi there. I am recruiting an additional player for my Twilight 2000 campaign “The Long Way Home” using the Free League 4th edition rules and Roll20 as a VTT. It is a story driven, military based campaign where the PCs are members of 4/12 Cavalry, currently stuck behind enemy lines in Poland, trying to return to friendly lines.

We play on alternate Thursday evenings from 19:30 to 21:30 GMT and our next session is scheduled for Thursday 27th Jan. We also stream the game live on YouTube so players need to be comfortable with streaming. You can see our latest session (our second) here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZI0QKYsG1w

If you are interested in finding out more then please send me a PM and we can discuss further.

Thanks for reading.

Default A new life...well sort of

I'm seeking a couple of players ( any experience level) for an on-going TW2k v2.2 horror game. We play every other Monday 1800-2100 CST via discord. The campaign is 60-70% investigation/role playing in this dark, gritty look at life as it breaks down. Character generation is handled 1 on 1 with me so I can get a feeling of who you were before things went to hell. the timeline is set in 2022 night of the super bowl, when everything changed.

Currently we have 3 players : USAF combat controller, Army Ranger, and former USAF military intelligence turned spook. I use light house rules (damage is d10's, character generation is augmented in the PC's favor, and one additional stat from Dark Conspiracy Empathy).

We are starting a transitional phase in the campaign and another warm body or 2 would be great. as referee I run an open table where we all have our demons and I WILL NOT tolerate any form on hates speech outside of the RPG. So if you are a bigot, racist, or homophobe do not msg me. Otherwise Operation Deimos welcomes you....

Default Looking for players - Fridays 8 PM CET (Europe) -- English, Beginner Friendly

I just moved to Sicily from the U.S. so the times are in Central European Time.

I'm using the 4th edition rules from Free League. Some of the group should consist of soldiers from the U.S. 5th Division, stranded in Poland after the failure of Operation Reset. Not everyone has to be a soldier though. We will create characters in the first session.

I have two players so far and looking for two more. The focus is more on survival than of a military nature. Governments and industries have collapsed. Civil rule has ceased to exist. It is a lethal game so player characters might die but what they do with the time they have is worth exploring. You are survivors but what kind of survivors will you be?

Sessions will be every other Friday at 8PM (CET), starting January 5, 2024. We will use Foundry and Discord.
