Default Map: Small village 1

It seems a small russian village, with some crop fields, a river and some small craters.

These maps are great. Where are you turning them up from? The snowy ones are looking very useful to me for the next part of my campaign - the trip to New York for Armies of the Night.

Ei Tigger! I suppose you're talking about the maps of the PC game Close Combat (in any of its available version). The link is:

http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/

There are a lot of people working about mods for these games in this site, and the maps they produce are excellent and very suitable for their use in roleplaying games, as in our case. Sometimes you can save the image directly for the gallery, but you will have to do a little research here, because in the most number of cases the gallery window switch offs itself while trying to do the "save as..." Of course, you have always the option to do a "Print Page", but IĂ¢â‚¬â„¢m afraid that the lost of quality will be too much important.

Default Map: Snow-covered aerodrome.

Interesting map, if you substitute the pair of soviets IL-2 for any present day STOL (Short take-off and landing) aircraft or any civilian light plane.

Default Map: Mediterranean 4

Some farms near a crossroad. As always, trees represented with their shadows.
As interesting detail, a phone line that diverges in the crossoad.

Default Map: Hangar 2

Ah... I think this would be a little treasure cove... A house with its own hangar!
For more information: http://www.silverwingatsandpoint.com..._siteplan.html

Ah...there are things that only exist in the USA! The paradise of the aviation fans!!

Well, you don't need to situate the house in the fantastic complex of the link. Instead, a lonely, apparently deserted house with a large, leveled and abandoned area, covered now by high grass can hide the hangar of this map... An old wind indicator could be the only clue that the plain in front of the house worked like an aerodrome.

And, after all, if you put there a conventional single-engine light aircraft, like the Cessna 152, with and air cooled engine, traditional carburetor and ignition by magneto you would have less mechanical complexity than in most of the present-day cars... Nice possibility.

Default Map: Aerial Photo Reconnaissance 1

Althought it is not strictly a map, it can be used in the briefing of a Merc / Twilight:2000 mission and it is easy to produce a game map from it.

Default Underground facility

Again, it's not a map. But it would be easy to produce a map from this drawing.
The interior layout is left to the GM...

With the look of an aerial photo, a small village with three bridges. Suitable for a quick briefing to your players.

Marc,
I've got CC5 - how are you saving the screenshots?

I need an idiot's guide (for obvious reasons!). I want to use one of the maps (Colomby) as basis for a wargames terrain piece.

Thanks
Malcolm

Default great work

Might I say that this thread is excellent -ready made and nicely done maps and aerial recce shots etc - I could whip up a nasty little encounter in 5 minutes that we could use 5 hours to play with anyone of these .

Thanks.

Ei! I'm not taking screenshoots directly for the game. Great part of the maps from Close Combat Series are from the photo gallery in the link below:

http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/

An outstanding web with great maps, though they were not originally designed for roleplaying.

I simply choose the more suitable to use in a roleplaying session. In a few cases (the map of Berlin 1945), I've erased the banners of the original image.

I've found a map from Colomby area, but take into account that it's from a mod and not from the original game:

Small Village 3.pdf

The original link below, for more quality:

http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS...334&fullsize=1

And here's another similar map of a norman village:

I've kind of set my heart on building the Colomby map from the game - those two look kind of flat - I wanted some elevation plus the river with bridges and fords. So far I've fiddled with it several time but can't see any way to do it.

I want to print it out so I can grid the print and match up my terrain.

Oh, well - I'm sure I'll figure something out.

Thanks
Malc
