4e NATO Unit Location Differences from v1 and v2
Mapping out the changes in 4e and I figured I'd share them here. From the original T2k versions, the following NATO divisions were in Poland:
US
Germany
In 4e, this has been changed to the following divisions in Poland (though who knows, maybe there's a lot more NATO units in Poland that simply aren't listed in the 4e Ref Manual...). These units from the old T2k versions are still listed as being in Poland: US
While these ones seem to be brand new to the NATO OrBat in Poland specifically for 4e: US
Netherlands
In Sweden, you see the following NATO divisions: US

The 34th ID probably replaces the 47th ID from 1e and 2e. In the real world, the 47th was redesignated as the 34th in 1991.
(This implies that in 4e continuity, the 47th is not assigned to internal security in the American northwest.) - C.

If there’s even a need to have a division operating out there. I don’t think the 4e canon says anything about a Soviet invasion of Alaska and British Columbia, nor does it mention New America. Those were the two driving factors in the 1e timeline for the 47th and 104th Infantry Divisions being where they were. As each edition is a different T2kU, there may be something completely different happening in the region in 4e… or Free League may choose to leave it a blank spot on the map for individual referees or fan content creators to fill in as they see fit.
