Default Open Casting Call...

Hi everyone,

I have something I wanted to ask everyone. I am working on writing a story (as you've seen the opening that i'm working on), and was wanting to ask if anyone on here would like to be involved. Thus the 'Open Casting Call' here.

All I really need is help with names, and would like to immortalize my online friends here on the forums. And you guys get to pick if the characters based upon the names you've provided fall into the 'Good', 'Bad' or 'Indifferent' categories... And you'll be mentioned and given credit for naming of the characters in question.

If you want to provide more than just a name, but actually come up with basic character concepts, I will take those as well. And give you full credit for such a contribution.

There are a few people on the forum whom I'll be contacting via PM to ask their permission to use them in the story as being the officers and specialists using the resources at their disposal in getting the story protagonists back home. As well as some of the other 'castaways' whom are also 'left out in the cold' in the middle of hostile territory that will be getting assistance to get home...

I hope everyone sees this as i intended it to be. A way to provide a homage to my friends, and to show my gratitude for everything that you all have provided me this past year. Thank you for helping me find the strength in myself to keep it together despite all of these problems.

Dramatis Personae:

CW3 Nathaniel Hale Spaight, US Army Special Forces Warrant Officer (adult Caucasian male): CW3 Spaight and his five-man team had been assigned to provide deep-penetration raids against Soviet and Warsaw Pact forces during the war in Europe, as well as extracting persons of importance from dangerous circumstances deep behind enemy lines.

Angylina Sharareh Teymūrtāsh, WBN News Channel Field Correspondent (adult Persian-American female): Angylina Sharareh is one of the highest rated field correspondents of the war, who found herself abandoned and alone after the Division that she had been assigned to report on was overrun by Soviet and Warsaw Pact forces.

Fuck being a hero. Do you know what you get for being a hero? Nothing! You get shot at. You get a little pat on the back, blah blah blah, attaboy! You get divorced... Your wife can't remember your last name, your kids don't want to talk to you... You get to eat a lot of meals by yourself. Trust me kid, nobody wants to be that guy. I do this because there is nobody else to do it right now. Believe me if there was somebody else to do it, I would let them do it. There's not, so I'm doing it.

I've actually been thinking of trying the same thing, that is writing a story based on T2K. Oddly enough, it's based on a combat journalist also, but a military one, not civilian. I'm going to try to do it along the lines of a journal or diary- dated entries describing the days events. I'm still puting together the "party". I had them together but lost one, and had to change an infantryman to a journalist.

Feel free to use my name (Wes Wood) for anything. I'm normally a nice guy, but I can just as easily be an @$$hole, so any character named after me can be good or bad. Sometimes known as a smartass

LOL. Okay!

Wesley 'Wes' Wood is the first character inspired by a member of the forum!

if you want to use me... I'm Richard Alvin Spake, I'm someone whom children love, and seem to be drawn too. my pastor and his wife have said it's the fact they see me for being a humble and loving man who would never hurt them. and they sense the boundless love in my heart, and are drawn to that. And I admitt that I'm a simple man who has just wanted to be a husband and father since i can remember. And i really loathe being called a 'hero'... but one of my closest and dearest friends keeps telling me that's what I am. But I just don't see it. never have, probably never will.
