Can a PbP game be played on this forum?

It's possible, but the forum really isn't optimized for that sort of thing. I used to Ref campaigns on RPOL (rpol.net). It's free to join. I highly recommend it for PbP. If you do a search on the site, there are couple of active T2k games. If you PM the campaign Refs, they might have an opening.

Another possibility is simply run your game on Discord but first source players elsewhere. Discord has several dicebots (Diceparser is a good one) and you can create multiple channels to keep things sorted.
RPOL however has a more mature characters handling system and it's easier to hide threads from various players if you want to break up the group which can be quite fun (some of my group almost used a grenade launcher on the rest of the team once!). It can be done in Discord but it's fiddly. Finally RPOL allows for more text options, something I as a GM consider important. If you've never run a text game before I have a list of standard rules, expected behaviour and text conventions I can give you. |
