I'm sitting at the office 6 blocks south of the US Capitol in Washington.
My house is 3/4 mile outside the Beltway in Maryland, north of the city. (Outside the heavy direct blast damage zone from a 1 MT burst over the capitol, well within radiation, firestorm and general bad things range). Jason, on the other hand, has an apartment in the sweet spot between the White House and the Capitol. Vapor...

I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end...
