For those whose T2K campaigns involved gun trucks of one sort or another, you might want to take a look at this: Italeri models has released a kit in 1/35 scale of a HEMTT gun truck! You heard right, a HEMTT gun truck. Seems several were converted from stock cargo carriers in Iraq, with the scrounged armor. The kit includes two gun mounts for Ma Deuces (M-2 .50 caliber machine guns), and two for Mark-19 AGLs.
Italeri also has a kit for a M-925 "Hillbilly" gun truck, with the improvised gun mounts and "acquired" armor, but in 1/72 scale. There was a Challenge magazine article about gun trucks, IIRC. It's been a while, and my T2K stuff is temporarily packed away. Here's the link to the piece on the Italeri kit: http://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/ki..._it_6510.shtml

Great link! Given the numbers of them that should have been available in 1997, HEMMT gun trucks could be widespread in 2000.

Is it sad that I used to doodle these things in my notepads in high school?
