Default OT Cold War Commander minatures rules

Anyone out there use Cold War Commander minatures rules? I'm looking to update my Combined Arms rules, not to mention that the rulebook is pretty battered after 20 years.

any thoughts?

They look a decent ruleset. I have played the WW2 original and it was quick and simple (that's intended as praise). Emphasis on C&C. There is a quick play WW2 starter set of rules online.

CWC gives a quick and simple game. Emphasis is definitely on having fun. Some of the equipment rating raises the eyebrows (a T55 has a stabiliser but a T72 does not?). Critics note also that weight of fire rather than type of fire rules the day, so an Abrams stand is vulnerable to massed T55 fire on its frontal arc for example. The basic tactic in CWC is to mass your fire on each target so you accumulate enough hits to kill it and then move onto the next stand.

Actually not a bad realistic tactic - enough T55 shots will disable an M1 with optic damage, mobility kills, etc.
