What if the Berlin Wall didn't fall?
I read this article in one of the Sunday papers today and thought it might be of interest to some here. It describes the point of divergence for an alternate time line where the Cold War continues beyond 1989.

Interesting
Then one thing that (IMO) weight heavily in the balance was the fact that Erich Honecker was forced out of office for health reason soon before the fall of the wall. If that had not been the case, things could have turned exactly as described. |
