The Expendables!
Totally off topic but has anyone heard anything about the upcoming movie "The Expendables" ?
Relevant if you’re an action movie. Written and directed by Sylvester Stallone and due for release next year. It has a stellar cast and is basically about a team of the worlds most highly-trained mercenaries go to South America to overthrow an evil dictator and his army. Great cast starring Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, David Zayas, Terry Crews and Eric Roberts, with wrestler Steve Austin, UFC fighters Randy Couture, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and British kick boxer Gary Daniels among many others in support. Arnold Schwarzenegger also stars in a cameo role while Forest Whitaker was also due to star but had to pull out due to other commitments. Jean-Claude Van Damme, Steven Seagal, Wesley Snipes, Kurt Russell, 50 Cent and Danny Tejo were also offered roles in the film but declined for various reasons. Can’t wait! Would love to see other action stars in this film such as Matt Damon, Chuck Norris, Daniel Craig, Ving Rhames, Vinnie Jones and a younger Clint Eastwood, and it might revive Jean-Claude Van Damme’s career if the movie is a hit.

Sounds cheese-tastic! I'd heard rumors, but I thought it was a put-on. I'm assuming it's meant to be one of those self-aware, slightly ironic, action comedies. At least, I hope it is.

Anyone else just a bit excited about this film? I can't wait to see THE EXPENDABLES featuring Sly Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Steve Austin, Randy Couture and more! In one film. Crazy. I can almost smell the testosterone!!! Roll on 2010 and... BRING ON THE EXPLOSIONS!!!
