Sounds like an episode of JAG. Still I like the idea of what might have happened to some of our most important documents.

Being rabidly NOT American, that statement is just sooo wrong on sooo many levels!
Mind you, just the first sentance was enough to make my stomach churn - has there EVER been a more crap TV show?

I can't answer that one. I pretty much gave up on TV except for the occasional show 7 or 8 years ago. I probably watch less than 3 hours a week, and most of that is a movie.

It is JAG episode. "We the People" episode is the first episode of season two. Most of mission background taken from this episode.

Nice work...

And there's nothing wrong with JAG

While JAG is 'Meh', Catherine Bell was enough compensation to make it watchable.
However if you were talking about Seinfeld... there's an utterly crap show with no redeeming features.

Except the fact that tens of millions of people enjoyed it.

I know a few people who would say the same thing about Monty Python or Fawlty Towers. I cannot fathom that, but tastes, especially in humor, can vary wildly.

HEY PEOPLE.... please get back to the original topic. It sounds like a great idea for a game.

I agree. It is very much in the feel of the Original GDW projects for the players.

I second that. Nice work, rcaf-777.

Since you asked for feedback, here are a couple thoughts.

1. A money ransom isn't going to mean a whole lot in 2000. Gold might do the trick. Or, something a little more practical like food, ammo, fuel, would be worth more than cash.

2. The escort seems a little small. I get the idea about trying to be inconspicuous but that's a long drive and any "militia" or bandit group along the way would probably see the two-vehicle convoy as a prime target for a shake-down (or worse).

3. A gas bomb could imolate the very thing the baddies are trying to steal. Maybe spike strips and small arms only. The escorts would be totally outgunned.

Other than that, a nice, compact, solid adventure. Well done!

Seconded. On all counts.
