Overall very good ideas.

As far as cataloging the Module information care need to be taken in not providing so much information that the modules themselves lose value. If we want to stay in the realm of fair use we must consider that.

Personally I would love to have all the modules/articles within something like this forum (where I could search multiple modules at the same time), but I know that would get us in trouble (in addition to being unfair to the copyright holders).

As far as where GDW would have taken things I just read through the designers notes in the final 12 challenge magazines and they really did not seem to know where they were going as far as new T2k material. In they end they seemed to believe that redoing the Vistua series for V 2 seemed to be the best answer.

I personally would have gone to Korea/Asia as it really was the most ignored theater. Given the final challenge article was part of an Asia module contest and that same issue referenced the next issue having a module in Australia, maybe they were focusing on the Pacific countries.

Default Fair Use

I would think that If we all left the the story out of the early modules discussion and stuck to numbers and locations we would be ok, I mean anyone posting would have to own the modules anyway.
I see that part of it as fact checking all of our own canons.

Asia was largely ignored although it got some play in Merc. I think they should have ended the american campaign with a reunion of the govs or some other major plot end tied up. I think one trip to poland in the return to europ would have been sufficent. France is the ignored party to me, Id have liked to see a mission overt or covert inside of France.

I agree, and not just because you've mentioned Australia. I always thought that the Korean theatre would have been a great setting for at least a sourcebook and better yet followed by a trilogy of modules.

Yeah Korea/China would have been a wonderful setting. Could have even lead to a new Asian Vehicle Guide.

On my original post I should clarify that it was an unpublished Challenge article not a module on Australia.

I think the title of this thread would make a great name for a band.

Keep in mind that the Twilight:2000 wiki is out there and has most likely pulled a lot of this information together into one spot.

As for expanding the scope into northeast Asia, lets just say there's a reason that I posted the Chinese and North Korean orbats a few months ago...

And throw in Japan as well. The thread on Japan a month or two had tons of traffic for a while there. I can't believe that GDW didn't go there.

Yep, you've got my agreement on that one as well.

Also, as others have mentioned before sourcebooks on individual US States / Regions that expanded on the material in Howling Wilderness would have been good I think.
