Along those lines, what about the A-10 Warthog? The Iraqis did call it "Silent Death" (yes, I do know that story is apocryphal). Supposedly, the Iraqis called it that because with a long-range shot the cannon shells got to their target before even the engines of the A-10 could be heard.

I might point out that the standard for silenced weapons is still the Welrod. It's still considered the quietest silenced firearm ever made.

There's also the M-1895 Nagant, about the only revolver to effectively be silenced (the mechanical action of the revolver is louder than the shot).
