Found this book, "A Compendium of Armaments and Military Hardware." (by Christopher Chant) on Google Books. It states the following: -
Capacity: up to 800 tons including 12 tanks or 16 lighter AFVs; the troop accommodation is normally 60, though 260 can be carried for short periods.
