The reason the US has been making more missle strikes than it used to is because American intel operations have become more effective and professional. The missle strikes are actualy doing the job now because they are hitting the right targets, they don't drop a missle onto funerals anymore.

If anything America is MORE concerned about how the Afghans feel than when they started, this is why they are making progress. They are actualy giving a damn about hearts and minds now.
