A lack of effective contraception, the strong Catholic faith, the high rates of rape, all would contribute to high pregnancy rates among young women in T2K Poland. But I strongly suspect miscarriages would be pretty common too, for all sorts of reasons (chemical strikes, chemical spills, bad drinking water, various environmental contaminants, disease, malnourishment, little or no pre-natal care). And of those pregnancies that do reach full term there'd be high rates of birth defects.

Being a woman in T2K Poland would suck.
