Default PF 010 Fall Back!

No discussion of any TMP modules can be complete without mention of the two latest offerings.

In Fall Back we are introduced to the first detailed description of an agriculture base, its assigned team and its protecting MARS team. It takes place during a KFS invasion of North Carolina and has the MARS team providing cover as the agriculture base is evacuated.

Overall, not bad. The ag base is well thought out, and certainly would be of a lot more use than the infamous couple of bags of seed in a team's cache!

The only real fault that I have with this module is the KFS invasion. It just seems to be on such a small scale that I find it difficult to accept. The canon material lists KFS as having a very small military, but they feel themselves to be so secure that they dispatch six of their seven regiments in a multi-state invasion (major parts of Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi)? Not to mention the Secret Police getting a piece of the action and adding themselves in the West Virginia and Virginia invasions?

Some minor nits about your thoughts.

1) KFS Army. Seven regiments each about 2,000 men. That is 14,000. A good sized WWII Division. The survivalist army in Lonestar was HUGE. the First Cav was about 7,000. so the KFS army is not totally our of proportion.

2) KFS invasion. Per the module, one of the Administrators was assasinated. By a known Child of Liberty. Who have been known to support and have support from existing Morrow Project and Snake Eater teams. The balance of power shifted in the Rich 5 families, so that the invasion could insue.

3) Morrow Project. Bulletts and bluegrass, TM1-1 and this module all hint that the Rich 5 are very hide bound. However, having said that, the two modules hint at Morrow support for the overthrow of the Rich 5.

4) Invasion goals. Now HERE is where the module falls apart. KFS has a good sized standing Army. P-47's for air support. But striking out in every direction?? Of course, the leader of the KFS Army is a member of the Rich 5. no REAL military training or experience. He has NO idea just HOW big the world really is.

5) Make up of KFS Army. I do not have a really big problem with the makeup. If the survivalist Army in Lonestar can maintain T-72's and the First Cav has M1's, then the KFS could have their own version of the M1. P-47's are an interesting addition. For the first time in Morrow, a MP team has to worry about the three dimensions of a battle field. Of course, a Stinger missle would be a great equalizer!!

6) GB in Bullets and Fallback. Having the Gree Berets adds a really great additon to the Morrow project. ONCE the GB's are convinced that Morrow is trying to help people and protect those who need protecting with out becoming tyrants in their own right, then you have the training, knowledge and experience of the Green Beret's assisting MP. We saw in Ruins of Chicago what one GB A-Team could do (even with combat losses). It seems that for whatever reason, the MP is trying to resurrect itself in the mid soutern part of the USA. (Leave PB Module out of this for the moment) As Morrow wakes up, so do Green Beret. I would think there might be Seal Teams, and other special ops teams as part of the wake up.

Picture THIS scenario.....

Seal Team 7 wakes up. Learns about KFS and Rich five. Intefaces with a GB team for infiltration info. Good bye Rich Five.

"Greetings from Uncle Sam!"

Followed by a 9mm to the forehead.

OR

Rich 5 administrator walking around....

Head EXPLODES as .50 goes in AND out in a spray of gore and brain bits.

Mean while, 1500 meters away, the designated Seal Team Sniper.....

"That's that one....Who's next?"

This should be PF 011 as PF 010 is Final Watch right?

I don't have this one myself, I should get it just for the canon Ag base. I need the reference before I design my own that is centered on Livestock breeding and re-creating healthy herds again.

Does this one include any new equipment?

Ah yes, U.S. Special Operations. I think myself that that is a poorly underwritten portion of the Morrow Project. Ten percent of an Army fights, everyone else is part of the Logistics tail.

There are SF "B" and "C" Teams too.

A "B" is set up to support an "A" Team but, not all Members are SF Qualified. These may include more repair specialists to assist in building a Militia force. Possibly borrow personnel from the Engineer Corps or the Medical Corps in setting up and running Mike Force camps.

"C" Teams are likely all to be Non SF Clerks, Cooks, Supply, Mechanics, Small Arms Repairers, Civil Affairs, Military Intelligence, even Military Police. They can find themselves rotated out to each supported "A" Team as attachments from the SF Battalion controlling those "A" Teams.

So the "A" Teams that pop up in Ruins of Chicago, Bullets and Bluegrass, and the survivor in Lonestar have a larger HQ out there somewhere to assist.

Where is it? Why aren't they awake yet?

Yeah, I know its supposed to be PF 11 (what can I say....I time faster than I think...I think!)

The ag base layout makes a lot of sense and while I haven't done a lot of research to verify, what I have found out confirms the module.

Equipment wise, there are a variety of ag machines introduced (with a brief comment on how they are used) and a recap of KFS equipment.

Might be worth it just for the new equipment then...........

I was going to write something up for an Ag base, but it has been done.

Have to Blue Sky another plausible "gotta have it" idea for the reconstruction.
