the pre-war garrision (1985) consisted of:
1st Battalion, Duke of Wellington's Regiment and The Gibraltar Regiment (236 men organized as 3 rifle platoons and "Thompson's Battery" [2 105mm Light Guns and 4 Blowpipe MANPADS]) the source is NATO's Armies of the Central Front.
