There is now a possible outbreak in Spain as well. Methinks it's only going to get worse from here.
http://news.yahoo.com/eu-demands-exp...084859314.html Stormlion, you were right. This is what happens when people get bloody careless and they inadvertently bring home the slate-wiper with them.

Problem is? Flu season's here, or will be soon, and if there's more cases of Ebola showing up in the U.S. at some point, a lot of people are not gonna know the difference in symptoms between which and are going to be jamming the ER departments of every available hospital, including the one that I work in. And that one has it's patient rooms operating at full capacity on a regular basis. Or, alternative scenario, get scared of contracting the disease and just avoid hospitals and clinics altogether and avoid seeking medical help. This virus is only half the problem. Possibility of a mass panic is the other.

OK this may be bad. (It is only a preliminary test so far)
http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/ebo...-ebola-n223946 It is still in the realm of healthcare workers who had direct contact which is a plus compared to the deputy, but if confirmed it is the first case of an infection on US soil. |
