Default Netherlands/Germany/FBU

"Well it is a hobby of mine even if it is not as good as other wikis i have seen."

Its quite fine and a good source of inspiration if you want to create a scenario in that region, Lordroel. Not "OT" at all.

As a matter of fact, i used the Dead Zone as background for a scenario similar to "Ride with the devil" (1999 western-movie from Ang Lee, which i liked) (Union= superior FBU-Army/ Nederlandse/german partisans= southern bushwhackers), and used quite a lot of your setting. Greetings

One scenario that is playing in my head is about a agent belonging to the Dienst Bijzondere Opdrachten (English: Service of Special Assignments, DBO) who has orders to head towards French occupied Netherlands to drop of some supplies while being chased by the South-Netherlands Army (French: L'Armée du Pays-Bas Sud, Dutch: Zuid-Nederlands Leger, ZNL) and the French General Directorate for Internal Security (French: Direction générale de la sécurité intérieure, DGSI).

Sounds like an early Luc-Besson-Movie (seen "Nikitia"?); do it with your group and please write a session-Report!

(Dont have an interested group for T2k at the moment, and would love to! At the time, i try to use german rpg-forums to find a group for a "MadMax/MFP-Patrol"-RPG on a Carwars-Base, within the backdrop of T2k...the results are like you`d expect... People thinking like "Whaaat?" )

Would these Jaeger Battalions be pure infantry, cavalry or have a mix of whatever vehicles they could lay their hands on?

At first they where purely infantry and used mostly to secure the Netherlands Military Administration in Bentheim (Dutch: Militaire Administratie in Bentheim) and where equipped with what ever they could get their hands on. Later when it became clear that the French-Netherlands War (1998-2007) became a static war, the Royal Netherlands Army began to supply them whit equipment allowing them together with the King's German Legion, the British army raised unit to assist the fledgling Hanover Army in combating warlords and securing the country.

I had begun to work out the history of the Netherlands-German Regiment wich is this so far.

History

In 2000 the fighting between NATO and the Warsaw Pact over in what remain of Germany died down bringing the Twilight War (also known as World War III) towards an end leaving huge civilian and military casualties in large parts of the world. With new countries beginning to emerge from its ashes.

The Netherlands faced with a huge influx of German refuges during the Twilight War (1998-2000) suffered another influx of refugees this time from fleeing citizens from the advancing French-Belgian forces invading the Netherlands, having to coop with sheltering both its own citizens and Germans the Netherlands provisional government in the city of Groningen made the decision to establish serval refugee camps in Germany itself under the control of the Royal Netherlands Army.

On March 31st 1998 the Netherlands Military Administration in Bentheim (Dutch: Militaire Administratie in Bentheim) was established to govern the former County of Bentheim (German: Grafschaft Bentheim). However the problem of having to maintain law and order and security in the zone prove somewhat of a burden to the Royal Netherlands Army who was heavy engaged in fighting the Belgian-French forces in the South of the Netherlands, the solution came up of requiting German refuges living in the Netherlands Military Administration in Bentheim.
