Is it possible that we have overlooked a new WMD?
No, it's because spoons leave no marks.

I have a friend who is a blacksmith. When he was first learning blacksmithing 35 years ago he made what looked like an oversized wrought iron serving spoon 2 feet long, with a solid 3/4-in iron shaft, doubled at the end to make a handle. We called it the BattleSpoon, and it could stand in for a mace.

About Paul's site, I was on it last weekend, and had no problems for about half an hour - then started to get the "Link not available on server" error for any link I tried.

Ah but the difference is, in the first instance it's used as a piercing weapon and in your friend's instance it's used as a bludgeoning weapon... so spoons are even more terrifying as they are obviously capable of extra forms of attack. I also believe that if you sharpen the edges of the spoon, you can make it a slashing weapon, the ultimate multi-purpose weapon, D&D combat will never be the same!

And back on topic, I tried Paul's site four times during this problem and always got the correct links - I think this says more about the lack of multiple DNS servers in my part of the world and how often (or not) it's updated than it does about anything else. Kind of funny because I actually wanted to see this sewing site that everyone else was redirected to!

Meanwhile, I'm getting the correct site, but the icon on the tab (I use Opera) is the icon of the sewing site (a little embroidered heart)....

Cheers Kato - I was driven by curiosity to have a look at the site more than any actual need but while I was there I had a look at their FAQ and the post titled "Just what is Phishing and Spoofing?" makes for some comedic reading given the situation with Paul's site
