Default The Volgans

Anybody ever read the 2000AD Comic about the Volgans. A new fascist Russian state which invades and occupies Western Europe and the British Isles.

Total hokum but loads of fun, and could be used as an alternative T2K setting without the total nuclear warfare.

Yep, I remember Bill Savage and his war against the Volgs.

You're absolutely right - it was pure hokum but great fun to read - I loved it! (I was probably about ten at the time I think).

Invasion! One of my favourite 2000ad stories!

I saw this thread title and thought it said Vogons! Now that would make for a sudden apocalypse scenario. Hard to do much on Earth afterwards...

Ah, a sort of Hitchikers Guide to the Twilight War.

Now we're talking about comics, wasn't there a series in the 1970's about three blokes running round in a Scorpion tank fighting the Russians or Chinese?

I may be wrong, 'cos the seventies were a looooong time ago!
