Question Campaign and Adventure Seeds Ideas

Anyone out there have any good campaigns or Adventure seed ideas that others and myself could use to spice up a campaign or adventure.

Are you looking for stand-alone adventures or an ongoing campaign theme?

I have an idea for an adventure, but with a twist. the players play teenagers on a right of passage to adulthood and stumbles upon or fall in to a morrow project cryo lab distribution Center.this is where i get writers block.

Just a thought to help with writers block....

Teenages stumble upon bolt hole with sleepers...

As the young adults try to decide what to do now...

One gets a tweet on his/her blackberry....

Just as Minuteman III's BLAST out of their silos....

I always recommend that ideas should be stolen from the best sources that you can find and I've run 'The Tempest' in everything from Cyberpunk to Star Trek (Shakespeare used other people's ideas. So why shouldn't we?)

One source that I've always wanted to try is a novel: 'The Gun' by C S Forester see
http://preview.tinyurl.com/qn65wr

This was (very badly) turned into a movie called 'The Pride and the Passion', starring Cary Grant, Frank Sinatra, Sophia Loren. The plot is set during the Napoleonic Wars and revolves around the transportation of a very large artillery piece - which allows Spanish guerrillas to have a chance of destroying a major French asset.

Naturally, it'll need translation into the world of the Morrow Project. Instead of a muzzle-loading cannon, I'd suggest something like 'Your team's mission is to take this artillery piece and assist the KFS underground in transporting it to within range of Fort Bundy. If you're successful - the impact on KFS morale could be HUGE'. Or it could be an anti-Krell mission, or anti-slaver or anti-whatever

The PD's choice of weapon could be anything, but I'd go for something 'early Tech Level C' that might be stolen from the Frozen Chosen or the New Confederacy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canon_d...1917_Schneider

Obviously, various engineering, combat, reconnaissance, camouflage and diplomatic problems will have to be solved during the journey. As a PD, I'd try and set up a series of events that would require everyone in the team to use their specific talents.

I'd like to use the Planet of the Apes cartoon as a basis for that, the Apes have a 1930's/1940's TL level with World War II style weapons and vehicles. You can find the series on www.hulu.com. I would also include humans that are not "dumb" but have their settlements but the apes are a menace to them.

A campaign beginning:

The player characters awake from their cryosleep - and find themselves surrounded by women. But it's not good news...

The women explain that

1. they are the (unwilling) staff of a Krell 'Rest & Recreation' facility - which is a cross between a brothel, a hospital and a casino. This has recently been built over the PC's Morrow Project bolthole (which was originally hidden in the grounds of a Motel). Incidentally, the facility (known as Madam Kitty's) uses the bolthole's fusion powerplant for electricity.

2. The Warriors of Krell found the bolthole 2 months ago and removed almost everything (except the cryosleep containers)

3. Almost all of the equipment and ALL of the weaponry has been removed.

4. Thanks to a deception by one of the ladies (an Emdee) The Krell think that the PCs died in cryosleep - they've been kept as organ donors.

5. The ladies offer to help the MP personnel. They will provide corpses to fill the cryotubes (don't ask too many questions). BUT - in return - they want to be trained to fight and use 'modern' weapons. The ladies plan to kill LOTS of Krell and then liberate their homes/families. They need a Morrow Project 'cover' - because otherwise Krell would simply wipeout their families.

How it goes from here depends on what sort of game that the players like

Option 1: everything is straightforward and the ladies are all sincere
Option 2: one or more is actually a Krell agent, trying to get the PC's to identify the location of their caches or supply base
Option 3: The characters can reach the caches with 'loads-a-guns'
Option 4: No guns in caches. The characters have to get weapons from somewhere else (a trading mission?)

I'd suggest that the players have to hide out in 'Madame Kitty's' (disguised as slave pool boys? or janitors?) for weeks while they train the ladies - then give them a satisfying firefight with some Krell.

Default Like the Brothel Idea, Taking out a Supply Base

That's a cool idea!

We recently had a game were the players had to clear out a supply base of bad guy creatures. I used an Titian missile base as the back drop.

See

http://henrick.com/ca4/?p=219

Titian Missile Base is a perfect backdrop as there is a huge amount of photo's and online info about them.

PS>
My Game is looking for 1-2 players to join it. If anyone is interested, it plays once every 2 weeks at 8:30pm pacific Time online using iTableTop.

Thanks

Clive

Default Chidren of the night - One Off

Another Idea that I have been playing with:

The Morrow Project Team gets a weak repeating signal coming from another MP team within 100 miles away saying of a biological infection to a small town and the team trying to help the town, but now the team needs help.

Its important that its a repeating message and the team does not get to talk to the other team.

When the team arrives there vehicle gets bogged down outside of town and a storm is heading in so its important that the team gets into the town ASAP.

When the Team gets into the town, the find signs of a fight but no one around and night is coming on. When they explore some of the buildings they find the other MP teams vehicle crashed into a store front and damaged with the doors open and the radio on the emergency repeat signal.

Then night falls and the vampires (children of the Night or Maggots) come out to play with the team.

Yes, its spooky, yes its a well known scenario, but it would be fun. Have some of the other team become children of the night and use there knowledge of the project (night vision) and stuff to mess with the team. Have the players need to battle the Children of the knight to save some surviors (children are always good) and protect them to sun up when the team can burn down the town or clear out the houses.
