Default Machine gun triggers

leonpoi 07-28-2008, 04:59 PM Quick question. I see pictures of machine guns with different triggers (trigger might not be the right word) when they are on tripods/vehicle mounts than when they are used by infantry. e.g.

normal trigger (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...67-2004-01.jpg)

vehicle trigger (http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/l...40-dvic548.jpg)

My question is, can a vehicle mounted weapon be taken off and have a normal "trigger" (and indeed a stock, again if that is the right word) and vice versa?

Webstral 07-28-2008, 05:47 PM The short answer is yes, provided you have the parts, the tools, and someone who knows what he's doing. The answer also depends on the gun. A medium machine gun, like the M240B, has multiple configurations. However, the M2HB only is available in the butterfly trigger option.
