Default Call for Czech Subject Matter Experts

Hey, all. As Keith and I have recently announced over on the 93GS forums, I'm in the process of writing a Twilight: 2013 setting sourcebook for the Czech Republic. As I am not Czech and don't have the travel budget for firsthand research, I find myself in need of two to four fact-checkers who have extensive personal or professional knowledge of the country. Participants will receive the first draft of the sourcebook at the same time I release it to Keith and the core 93GS playtest team, on or about 01 January. I'll need feedback no later than 22 January in order to ensure your recommendations go into the manuscript before I send it to production. The document will be approximately 50,000 words, so plan on budgeting your time accordingly.

Obviously, you need to know something about the Czech Republic to be considered for this project. I'm specifically looking for experts in the following fields as they relate to the country:

• culture
• history and politics
• infrastructure and industry
• military
• intelligence

Experience must be recent – in other words, post-Velvet Divorce. Familiarity with the Twilight: 2013 game line is a major plus but is not required. As you will have access to an unpublished work, you must be willing to sign a 93 Games Studio nondisclosure agreement.

Please be prepared to substantiate any claims of academic qualifications or military service with copies of the appropriate documents. I apologize if this request seems overly intrusive, but 93GS has had prior encounters with would-be contributors who have attempted to exaggerate or outright falsify their military service histories.

Regrettably, this is an unpaid task (though if you want to work for 93GS on a paid freelance basis, this is an excellent way to get your name in front of Keith). If you participate, you will be credited in the final work in direct relation to the amount and accuracy of your contributions. I'll also arrange a free copy of the final work in PDF and, if it goes to print, hardcopy.

If you're interested, please contact me at t2013@mac.com with a subject line of "Czech Republic Sourcebook." State your interest and qualifications in the body of the message. Thanks!

- C.

I am just clarifying I am cool with this type of recruitment. Feel free to post a link to the original announcement.

I'll dig thorough IP addresses to see if I have an inactive user in the area and if I find one I will shoot off an email. I remember seeing a Slovakian email address at one point.

edit. Found one each from the Czech and Slovak republics. Emails sent.

Hello. I am Czech. I am a twilight 2k player. I actually wrote 93GS about a license inquiry for twilight 2k13 (i work in a similar field just with a different medium).

I will write to you this week. I know much about the Czech Republic (obv) but also many details about its military and culture. As well as with Czechoslovakia, the region, etc, etc, etc.
