Is anyone using Maptool
Me again with my computer rpg aides
http://rptools.net/ Maptool is a quite neat tool for maps in RPGs, and it seems to be an adequate tool for keeping track of the visual parts of combat in t2k, and an cheaper alternative to buying miniatures. I've been making an assortment of tokens (Cold war era tanks and units, both Warzaw bloc and nato), are any of you using it and if so, do you have any tokens, buildings and whatnot? If so, we should pool the stuff together. |

That looks great! I'm always looking for tools to help out with gaming. Sharing maps and graphics is always a hassle. I've used this site to make quick combat maps: http://zwibbler.com/ It's limited but the "hand drawn" style makes it visually appealing from an aesthetic point of view. Tony |

Well, if you should choose to try Maptools, i have some units that i've made tokens out of. I use them with some close combat maps i found in another thread in this forum, and i just place some visual blocking to create areas people cannot see from some places.
I have some APCs, both w-pact and Nato, tanks and a few civilian vehicles, as well as a soldier marker. Dont have anywhere to upload em to right now though. |
