Default So, where did the gold go?

Spinning off the Fort Knox issue, what happened to it? Without checking, who's garrisoning Fort Knox? If we assume that part of the pre-TDM planning involved moving the gold to a secret location, where did it go? If we believe some of the rumors about the Gold Depository (GD), is it safe from a nuclear attack, and who's guarding it? Is it still there, and no one's guarding it, because it's been buried so deep, no one's getting it out? I can't recall, did it get nuked?

I drove by the GD once two springs ago, while visiting the Patton Museum. Obviously, there are no tours for the GD.

Fort Knox lost the Armor School to Fort Benning, but the 194th Armored Brigade is still posted there.

Huh, Armor and Infantry Schools at same post? So, 194th is no longer the School Brigade for Armor? Does that mean the 197th does double duty?

2/16 Cav is the current training unit at knox, but if they stay that way when they make the move is unknown to me. But yes, they are moving to Benning. It does make sense to base both schools together, since everyone is mounted up in armoured vehicles, be it M1's, M2's, and Strykers. Its a good move, even if its against tradition.
