Default OT: Targan's radio silence

Just letting you all know that from tomorrow I will be away from the forum for most if not all of the next week and a half. I'm off to the other side of the continent to get married. Please direct any requests/inquiries/derogatory comments regarding my possible parentage etc to my fellow mods during this period.

That's right, some crazy lass is making an honest man out of me. It's been a lovely f'n war, gentlemen. Bravo 2-6 out.

Bloody hell!
You didn't put up much of a fight did you? Where's biological and chemical weapons? What about the nuke you've had stashed in the back shed "just in case"?
What's worse is you're coming over to my side of the country to do the dastardly deed too! Obviously too ashamed of yourself to do it where all your friends might see....

There's a fine line between "training" and "torturing" them...

Targan is obviously under some insidious biological weapon's psychochemical effects--probably pheromone-based.
We must mount a mission to free him from this hormonal bondage!
Don't forget the MOPP suits--they may have more than one pheromone-dispensing units in his vicinity, and we can't afford to fall under their influence!

Marriage is likely to make you less honest, unless you think walking away from "Does this make me look fat?" will result in less pain. No, my friend, you are about to enter a new realm of falsehoods. On the plus side, harmony-preserving lies make the world go 'round, so there's little need to feel guilty. I, for instance, am right now researching ways to teach basic math to toddlers. See how easy that is?

Congratulations on joining the brotherhood of monogamous truth-bending.

And don't you forget you'll always be Bravo to her Alpha.
For the love of god, never, ever allow yourself to forget that!

Teaching maths is easy - "you have 30 rounds in your magazine and fire a three round burst, how many rounds do you have left?"

The two best words to use during ANY discussion with the future Ms. Targan..

Absolutely no need for marriage. Even some of my female friends I'm saying those two words too from time to time.

The way I feel about marriage is...I always dreamed of Miss Right (not Miss Perfect -- Miss Right) and the white picket fence (on a military base) and 2.2 children...but I never found Miss Right and my military career tanked at its highest point. And now I'm nearly 50 and fat and mentally ill and it's just too damn late for any of that.

Miss Rightnow is also an option for some although they usually cost an hourly rate...

Well I'm in Melbourne, Victoria and I've finally found a little bit of time to have to myself. Phew! Women can be such drama queens. I've been providing opinions and input here and there during the wedding planning process but mostly I've been trying to hide and hope no one notices me. Amazing how fast you can blow $10k.

Wedding is tomorrow at noon. The bride-to-be and I are spending the night apart. I think I'll have a couple of stiff drinks tonight. Well, maybe more than a couple!
