OT- Hats off to Amazon
In April I bought a 3G Kindle- since then I have taken it nearly everywhere- it is especially useful when work takes me away from home, as I am never going to run out of books!
At the weekend, the screen failed. I was in Amman at the time and didn't want to waste money on an International phone call, so I reported the fault about 4pm on Tuesday when I got home. Even though I bought the device in the US, Amazon (UK) replaced the item without any quibble- the replacement arrived at 10am today, less than 48 hours after I reported the problem. All I need to do is box up the broken one and send it back. I really must get round to converting my T2k files onto the new one... |
