Default A question for the moderators

I have noticed that there is a delay between submission of a thread and moderators checking the content of the post, and actually posting it on the forum

I started a new thread some days ago. The first installment took more than 24 hours to be posted, and the second it's almost 3 days and has not been posted yet.

The thread in question is "a tale o'war" in the Twilight 2000 actual play forum.

The question is: is that normal, because that would be a strong discouraging factor to go on with the thread.

Thank you for your time

On the other hand, this thread has been posted instantaneously, without the message "the post will be evaluated by the moderators first...etc"

I am afraid I do not understand.

Any help appreciated

I believe new accounts are moderated like that - and once you post a few times, then the moderation is removed and you can post like everyone else. This is to combat the spammers that can get by captchas nowadays - we've had some issues with viagra posts and such....

Mods, correct me if Im wrong though

That would be correct. Once a member has a few posts under the belt (only a handful I believe) the restrictions come off.
So ambra, be patient, keep posting some of that good writing we've seen, and feel free to comment on anything. Depending on your post rate, the brakes could be off in just a couple of days.

Hello, Ambrafoxtrot. I am one of the mods here. I am not sure that I understand your question.

As far as I can tell, the thread that you started is currently up on the forum and has been since 10-13-11.

Please let me know if this link is not working properly.

If I misunderstood your question, or the situation that you are describing, I apologize. I would like to help.

Raellus thank you very much for your prompt reply.

Yes the thread is there, I have posted two replies on that thread already and they do not appear. Every time I add something to that thread, i get a message that says that the moderators are going to examine the message, before it is posted.
I posted a total of two replies on that thread (continuations of the first post) and they just do not show.

Also, when I started the thread, the first post appeared only about 1 day after.

I was wandering if this is normal or if there is any problem.

Thank you for your time
