Default OT:UN vs needlenose pliers

Just saw a comercial for Leatherman pliers I thought ya'll would get a kick out of. Guy working under the sink, voiceover says "What do you think solves most of the worlds problems: the UN or needlenos pliers"

Funny. I'm partial to the adage that there's nothing you can't fix with duct tape, WD-40 and a vise grip. But I also appreciate my Leatherman.

...and if that doesn't work you obviously need a bigger hammer.

No, Leg, a smaller hammer. smallpox

If they never did anything else, at least this one's not in the wild anymore.

Probably for sale in Russia. The CDC has some strains in Atlanta.

Having owned Leathermen and Swiss Army.....I'd rather depend on Swiss, never had one break on me, which is more than I can say for Leatherman, Gerber or Buck!!!

Ok, ok, not in the wild right now...

"Probably for sale in Russia" almost makes me nostalgic for the Cold War.

Wait, I forgot where I was and what I'm playing!

Too cool!

I've had nothing but good experiences with my Leatherman. I only used it for vehicle maintenance when the proper tool wasn't available. For work on small arms and MG, the Leatherman is a darned handy item. Maybe I've been lucky, but I've never had a Leatherman break on me.

Now the classic Kabar is an excellent knife, I've owned mine for close to twenty years and its still doing its job.

Got to agree with you. I've used mine for everything from skinning & butchering deer to prying open and nailing closed wood crates.
