Does anyone else see the irony in that pic? Here you have a bus full of hippies, with a Mercedes right behind them all going the same way....

I had an idea for an interesting encounter (don't know if I'll be using it in my campaign now).

It was an American (Or NATO, your pick) artillery unit, stationed on a fairly large hill. Their commanding officer has been killed in a firefight with Pact forces, but they've been able to hold onto the hill due to having the upper hand and superior defenses.

But their commanding officer's last words were "Kill all the Commies" or something to that effect, and they think they're surrounded, so they're launching all their ammo in every direction they can, thinking they're holding back a superior pact force.

If the PCs can survive their barrage, and can convince the artillery crew to help them, they can have a powerful (but sporadic) 'umbrella' of protection in that area.

In a game about 15 or so years ago, the PCs visited Grenada. Bus and truck loads of Rastafarian sports fans were travelling about from sports field to sports field, a cloud of smoke trailing behind them where ever they went. Was definitely an interesting encounter for the PCs!
Funny how all the PCs suddenly came down with a case of the munchies after the vehicles had passed.....

Vladimir Lenin with a machine gun

Elvis; a la bubba ho tep

a troubadour with a Lute

a mailman; a la The postman

Fester Addams; from the Addams Family

and the always favorite Santa; a la robot Santa from Futurama
