Default Need examples of NATO Comms traffic.

Gentlemen,

For a piece I am working on I could use some example of US Pacific Theater traffic from National Command Authority or Secretary of Defense to retask individual US Navy vessels and Air Force Strategic Strike aircraft.

I came up with this but, the more authentic appearing the better.....

Orders No. 2012-xxxxxx
Dated: (DDHHMMZ Mon YY)

From National Command Authority
To COMSubPacFlt

Per Orders SECDEF, SSBN USS Alabama is detached from duty and coordination with all US and Allied operations in Pacific Theater.

Per Orders SECDEF, COM USS Alabama is further task organized directly under SECDEF for immediate deployment.

Per Orders SECDEF, COMSUBPACFLT is authorized accelerated deployment of follow on SSBN deployment, USS Nevada.

Authentication. A5GH-56GH-JI89-MD7K

Acknowledge receipt of transmission required.

You might take a look here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Message_precedence

as a starting point.

Here's some more:

One more: this guy seems to have a lot of stuff on military comms verbiage:

Thank you RJP,

I am also looking for the structure of the message. Military communications follow very structured formats.

So I am looking to make some handouts with very convincing NATO comms formats.

Typically the message will follow a format similar to this.

Classification at the top and bottom of the message:

Date Time Group:

Header:

Title of Message:

Body of Message: Senders intent is usually the first thing, followed by background information that will elaborate on the intent. Specific guidance such as suspense times and go/no go criteria will be annotated in the intent section.
