Default A new forum replacing rpghost.

Welcome.

RPGhost's Twilight 2000 forum is a thing of the past. This group was the best forum I ever found on the web and I will not let it die. Many have followed me here and hopefully we can rebuild this group and even surpass it's excellence.

The future is bright for this forum and I will try to exceed your expectations as far as an administrator/moderator goes. I will save posts. I will be responsive to downtime. The only limitation I see is bandwidth and to a lesser extent cpu as this is not the most robust box. If either of these become an issue I will find a solution.

A small apology. I was going to unify the login here with my new gaming site http://games.juhlin.com, but I did not have enough time.

major edit.

Woot!! I got the first post! Can't believe they've shut us down on RPG Host, but hopefully we'll all make it to here.

"Hi fellas. (Is the last post supposed to be on top?)"

I changed the server time. It used to be on Korean time since my girlfriend (who is in Korea) used some calendar functions I wrote for her. It should be ok from this point forward.

(how is that for service 4 min response time )

hehe, set yourself a standard you have to maintain now :-)

I am upset the old forum is ending. I'm settling in to watch a dvd "the beast" now, to get into the t2k mood.

Just wait until Antenna and the Norwegians pop in! Then we'll really be Euro-philic!

I've got The Beast on my harddrive. Great film. How bitter-sweet would it be for the Mujahadeen to kill the entire crew of that Soviet chopper and not be able to do anything with it, least of all fly it?

Thanks for the vote of confidence. We hit 50 members this morning (welcome Ed) so I think we are doing ok. Some big names are still missing but hopefully they will join us soon.

It was a long hard march through the desolate corners of the net but Targan picked up my beacon and guided me in....

Great to see you guys.

Don't worry about being a little late to the party, all that matters is that you made it.

Oh course all the good food and drink is all gone, and so are the single women. And you get to clean up the havoc that is left

Well I'm happy to admit that my initial preference for a site to move to was wrong. You've made us feel welcome and comfortable here Kato. You should feel proud of your efforts.

Agreed! Kato you get one free wound in any of my games, plus an extra magazine for your characters starting gear as a reward. Of course bullets are another matter

We still are missing some folks and they need to wander into the wire soon!

You were not wrong at the time, you just wanted something you were comfortable with. You had been on 2013 boards for a significant time, while I was an unproven entity. I totally understand that. All of us are interested in a game that was released 24 years ago, that would seem to indicate that "change" is not exactly going to be our favorite thing.

I thank you for your complement. It matches exactly with what my goals were when I built this site. I was lucky though, this was a case where my passions and my abilities merged nicely.

Puts "get out of wound free card" into my wallet. Thanks that could come in handy.

Yesterday was our one month anniversary and our best day ever. I am going to start seriously looking for our MIAs over the next few weeks now that I am confident that the ball is rolling in the right direction. Hopefully my google-fu will be up to the task.

Be assured our greatest days are ahead of us.
