Is anyone still viewing the site on 800x600 resolution.
I was looking at our image upload file settings and I found that the maximum width is 800. This was important 5 or 6 years ago when 800x600 was a common resolution.
Generally now the minimum resolution that is expected is 960 (this works for most mobile devices). Generally only 14 and 15 inch tube monitors will have an 800 width as the standard width. Most laptops and almost all LCDs (even my 12 inch netbook) will have a 1024 native resolution. If you are still using 800 width shoot me a pm or add a post here. If we do not have more than a couple of users (who are probably used to left right scrolling anyway), I will up the maximum width of uploaded images a bit (probably to 920). Currently if you try to upload a larger image the forum software automatically resizes it. The file I just posted in the SSV-33 Ural thread was dynamically resized. Many ships' images from the site I got it from are made with a standardized scale. When it is resized, the ability to compare sizes of ships is lost. Last edited by kato13; 02-18-2014 at 10:41 AM. |

I've got a 27" flatscreen. If it becomes an issue I can blow the browser up quite nicely (I do 1920x1200 max).

I view the forum on everything from my Galaxy S4 phone to my tablet to my 20"monitor so it doesnt matter to me. Besides most of our eyes are getting older and I will admit I set my screen to 125% so I don't have to squint when watching por....ummm I mean research materials.
