The .270 Winchester and .243 Winchester
I mentioned in passing in another thread, but should these two be treated as magnums, at least for range, if not more. Call for more experience!

Seems to indicate magnum for range, but not damage or penetration. They shoot flat, but their power levels are not unusually high.

243 is on par with the .223
270 is just a necked down 30-06
