Default Getting Caught up

fractured my right fibula bone Tues while on my way to Unit Parade, so I'm on sick leave for awhile so I figure I start catch up on my Twilight stuff.

Always look on the bright side of life

22 years in the Army countless PT sessions, ruck marches, field Ex, Training courses, aide to civil power and two deployment to Afghanistan and not a scratch.

And a patch of black ice in front of the mess hall takes me out oh well I get two screws put in soon then four weeks of rest and then I start recovery

Well, is that not how most Canadians soldiers die - doing something stupid on ice!

Anyway, I feel for you. Broke my elbow two years ago when my bad ankle on my "good" leg decided to go out on ice.

Thank You for your best wishes, surgery went will I had two screws put in, not sure how long they are going to stay in but the leg is feeling better, I still can't put weight on it. Not back at work for two weeks after I have my follow up with my rather cute surgeon. (my wife words) I kinda had this Grey's Anatomy thing on in the operating room. I bunch of women operating on me.

They might stay there permanently. There's often no need to remove them if they're not causing any trouble.

Definitely made my day with that one. Too bad not running a game with you - that would definitely be worth a couple of cases of ammo and two jerrycans of gas right there.
