Default Salvaging Fuel

During some of the last T2K gaming sessions in my campaign (oh so long ago now) the party were at that big airport in New Jersey ESE of NYC (is it JFK?) and had been scrounging around for anything they could find in those sections that weren't too much of a radiation hazard. The crash of an Air France jet IRL yesterday has got me thinking about where (in the Twilight world) commercial jets would have been parked up once it became too dangerous for them to fly or jet fuel became too scarce on the civilian market. That further led me to thinking about the possible dangers involved in trying to drain the last dribbles of jet fuel out of jet airliners in the years following their grounding.

Any civilian or military POL experts out there know anything about this sort of thing?

Default fuel durability

apparently the different types of fuel loose their potency and become useless over time .

Given correct storage and maybe some additives to preserve it ,it will last longer .

Gasoline is around 2 to 3 years max I hear .
Diesel /Nafta is around 5 years
kerosene /parafin like substances around 10 years.

all of the top of my head -would have to check .
