And, IIRC, all vehicles going by aircraft are required to have their tanks mostly drained of fuel to reduce fire risks.

I'm guessing ammunition would be limited to none for the same reason?

I'd say as long as they were in ammo cases and not ready rounds it'd be OK.

But I can definitely see the fuel thing fo sho.

Darn it... pounds, tons. Metric is so much easier to work with. Its all multiples of 10, 100, 1000.

That depends on the mission set up IIRC. Tactical, going into a hot strip and rolling into the line, they allow fueld and armed, though the ammo does not go hot until on the ground, which is the easiest to do. NON-tactical, minimal fuel, and ammo usually seperate. At least that was how it was thirty years ago... of course they run scared shitless these days, so they probably sent them into action with nothing by their grins.
