Wink

*Yawn*
Just the one box? I have two here both in very good condition.
Two copies of Twilight Encounters too.

Left overs from trading old games and books back in the days before ebay put me out of business.

It's a good find though, don't let it gather dust on the shelf too long before you play it!

I have a good condition Twilight Encounters but I think my Last Battle box is long gone. Care to do a deal, Leg?

Sometimes you get lucky - I got Going Home, the RDF, Krakow and the US Army Vehicle Guide at a collectible store for 3 dollars a piece in near mint condition - not bad considering the prices I have seen for them on e-bay and the like.

Leg, I will definitely be playing it!

Olefin, those are great prices! I paid $25 for my mint RDF Sourcebook! I really love it, tho.

What does The Last Battle entail? Is it just a wargame with T2k vehicles scarcity rules or are there some key T2k elements in it beyond that?

I think I have a copy of this. It is a small unit infantry and vehicle game. What I remember though is that it is really small scale and quite abstract. Units are 4-5 men, all vehicles individual. The hexes are like 2.5 inches across, so not much range at all. My recollection is that it may help resolving T2K encounters, but not much fun as a stand alone wargame. If I were doing a bigger game I think I would repurpose the Team Yankee board game. If I were doing the usual PC group, I'd just pen and paper it.

Yeah -- it works best for small unit actions that are just a bit too large to resolve at the role playing game level. Sort of an expansion of the idea of the macro-level combat rules GDW included in Ruins of Warsaw. Haven't played it in years, but recall it being a pretty fun beer and pretzels kind of game. Never used it to resolve T2K encounters, just as a stand alone system for evening's game play sort of stuff.
